klax Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Hi,I am trying to open a .cue/.bin file that is roughly 560 MB. I have tried using a rash of software (iso buster, magic iso, daemon tools, alcohol 120, etc...) with little success. I have made an .iso file within Alcohol to try and use different programs to open it, but this has not worked. Usually I mount the image in the respective program, but then nothing happens; I can't extract or find the files in the storage file (.cue/.bin or .iso) Does anyone have answers? Thanks so much!
Jeremy Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 (edited) I use UltraISO to manage those image files. If nothing has success so far, are you sure it is a real image file? Edited May 6, 2006 by Jeremy
Zxian Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 To extend what Jeremy suggested, perhaps the file you have is corrupted. Is it possible to find a hash of the original file (MD5 checksum for example)? That would help you determine if the file is intact.
LLXX Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Try burning it to a CD-R. It might be in a nonstandard format.
klax Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 Thanks for the responses. I will investigate to find out if the file is really what it seems...
