is there a way to give your desktop icons different sizes. like one is 32x32 an the other is 48x48 or 128x128 and all these icons are on desktop at the same time.

i beleive that there is a registry key but im not sure which one. im sure that someone will post it soon, but there is a way.

no its not possible but you might want to look into IconX... it might be possible to do what you want with it.

The icon renderer can't do that. I think it uses 32x32 icons for standard size, 16x16 for detail view, and 48x48 for the tiles view.
