puntoMX Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 What kind of motherboard do you have? Brand and type please .
nmX.Memnoch Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 (edited) Since he's running a P4 520 he probably has a PCIe based system, which won't have a setting for the AGP Aperture size. IMO, the AGP Apeture size setting doesn't make that much of a difference in performance anyway. The bottom line is that his settings are probably turned up too high for the X800 to get decent frame rates at anything higher than 1024x768. If he doesn't want to turn any of the graphics settings down but still wants higher resolutions while maintaining the same frame rate he has now at 1024x768 then he has no option but to get a faster video card. A faster CPU will help some, but not as much as the video card (since he already has a decent CPU). Edited March 31, 2006 by nmX.Memnoch
