sergiocola Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I got a CANON digital camera, PowerShot A520. I began to download the relative software. I had the camera connected to the computer, and there was a warning not to do that, but I read it after beginning the installation. I cancelled the installation. I tried to uninstall the program, but I can't. This message comes out:Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL-Machine\software\classes\....etc.Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.Any help? ThanksSergio
LLXX Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Always use administrator account to install/remove software...or give read/write permissions to that registry key.
Jeremy Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 You're either not logged in as Admin or the permission on SOFTWARE is not checked off. Do that and the problem will be fixed.
nitroshift Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 reinstall the software without having the camera connected.
