hi there,

I’m looking for some software than will tell me what settings get changed in my registry.

For instance when i change my background image, i want to know what settings are changed in the registry when i change the background image.

it would be great if i could target certain parts, rather than the whole registry, for instance only see what has changed in HKLU and not everywhere else

does anyone know of a good program that will do this?

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]

"Wallpaper"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\Utilisateur\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Wallpaper1.bmp"

RegShot is a small registry compare utility that allows you to quickly take a snapshot

of your registry and then compare it with a second one - done after doing system changes

or installing a new software product. The changes report can be produced in text or HTML

format and contains a list of all modifications that have taken place between snapshot1

and snapshot2.In addition, you can also specify folders (with sub filders) to be scanned

for changes as well.In version 1.60+ you can save your whole registry in a *.hiv file for

future use.

Note: Regshot is a FREEWARE!
