I doubt that it's a virus, but trickytwista has the right idea for a first diagnosis of the problem.

THE COMP IS IN MY COUSINS HOUSE WHICH IS HARD FOR ME TO GET TO I CAN ONLY GO UP EVERY NOW AND AGAIN SO I HAVENT RAN CHECK DISK YET. I RAN SPYWARE CHECKER AND IT REMOVED QUITE A FEW FILES. AND THE PROBLEM REMAINED. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY FIELS I COULD CHECK WITHIN WINDOWS. THE REASON I NEED IT URGENT AND WOULD LIKE ITUNES IS THE FACT THAT HE HAS BOUGHT AN IPOD AND IT WONT INSTALL THE DRIVER OR ITUNES TO COPY MUSIC OVER AS THIS ERROR FOR A DRIVE WHICH DOESNT EXIST COMES UP.

ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS FOR ME TO TRY OTHERWISE IT WILL BE A FULL INSTALL

DO YOU HAVE A STUCK SHIFT KEY?!?!

Is the iPod plugged in when installing iTunes? I think E: is the drive letter of the iPod when it's mounted.

yes my cousin had plugged it in before he had put in the install disk. i tried it with the ipod plugged in and without. how can i delete any reference to it so i can "start again fresh"?
