ShadowGuy Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 Its x64 pro but I didnt put it in that forum cause more people read here, and it should generally work the same way..... right?
N1K Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 This is a nice freeware tool for driver backup:With Double Driver 1.0 you can view which drivers are installed in your system and you can backup the drivers you choose, save and print the drivers list, and more.Double Driver Features* View installed drivers* Backup drivers* Restore drivers* Save drivers list* Print drivers listHome : http://boozet.xepher.net/Download (1.37MB)
ShadowGuy Posted February 4, 2006 Author Posted February 4, 2006 Exactly what I was looking for, thank you very much....
N1K Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Double Driver v1.0My link above isn't working or you've found a new version?
Jeremy Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Once again, me bringing back an old topic but it's valid I think. I just don't like to create more threads than I have to.Anyway, when I open an .INF file, there's the [sourceDiskFiles] is it? It shows the list of files that make up the driver along with the INF and .CAT file. If I take just those files and put them in a folder with the INF and CAT files, is that essentially a driver backup? Or are there more files? When Double Driver or Driver Magician, or Driver Genius back up a driver, they are just scanning the INF file, right? It would be nice if someone on MSFN, namely Jcarle or Zxian or XPero could code a small program designed primarily for effective driver backup, especially without the need to have the driver installed first!Cheers,Jeremy
