One of the major things that caught our attention is, once it's fixed up (Cause we're doing quite a bit of renovating before moving it), it'll be worth $30,000-40,000 more if we sell So we'll spend $10,000 on it, live in it for a year or two, and sell it for more!

beccatigger Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 A few years ago a started house in britain could b bought for between £60,000-£80,000 and now you're looking to between £100,000 to £120,000, that's y everyone in Britain's renting....I mean, take my amily for example:Our house+farm in rented (no jokes bout me being farmer girl, i dont sit there on a fence chewing a piece of corn or anything), my gran died+left us her house, my dad bought the house next door to us+we own another bungalow in the village. So we own 3 houses+dont live in any of them!!!!I just worked out I pretty much gotta take out 100% mortgage if I wanna buy a house +will have 2 b in country cos city prices are majorly inflated
