best file comparision program?

which is the best file comparision program? the level of comparision would be at say, file level ex: office files, media files, etc and not binary comparision.

Its File comparision not compression so WinRAR is out of scene...

Being a java programmer, I do use "Microsoft WinDiff"

WinMerge. It's comparable to Beyond Compare, but free/open source.

I use the latest Experimental Build...which you can find in the Developers section.

I only need to do diff comparisons on code I write, and Visual Source Safe has one integrated so I don't use any 3rd party diff tools. But a quick Google search seems to point to "Compare It!"
