Well, I just bought a new casing...thought that it could hold 2 HDs, but then, it could actually hold one >.< I have 2 HDs now, I bought one Seagate Barracudda 7200.9 160GB, and one 40GB. What could I do or buy in order to have those 2 drives installed in my case? Is there any physical HD extensions? (BTW, off topic- is something wrong with the forums? I can't seem to load them properly.)

You could get something like this and place it in your CD/DVD locations. Is this what you mean?

If you're not too concerned about appearance, find an empty space inside the case and mount the drive there with whatever method works best (I have a drive mounted via screws through the ventilation holes on the back of the case near the bottom), the orientation doesn't matter as today's HDDs are designed to work in all positions.

Ah well, thanks for the help guys. I went out today and decided to get the external hard drive box thing. I wanted to do you method LLXX if I didn't have any other options left XD. But seeing I liked the case, I tried to preserve the look XD.

Yes, in this case external HD is more logical and nicer solution but also more expensive one..@least in my country

Btw, is there any performance difference between using the external drive, from using the HD directly from the case? Just curious because of the USB connecting the exDrive to the case. And also, since I have a new HD(160GB), how do I format it in XP?

Yes, USB will be slower. Typical ATA or SATA speeds are 100-150 MB/S.

USB2 tops out at 60MB/S (480Mb/sec).

For a single drive in USB2 tho, the difference will not be dramatic. It's when you get into RAID arrays that you notice a significant difference.
