KamiQuazi Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 (edited) U can't use 2 Crossfire cards... one has to be a slave and the other a primary... if u want some more info PM me and i'll scan the magazine that it is in and i'll send it to yabut one has to be a x1600 Crossfire and one has to a x1600... but holla at me.... i got 2 magazines that is loaded with the information...Also the Antec P180 is a bad a$z case... i bought one and so did the person above me... anyways... if ur a first time build i would stay away from it....EDIT *.* The linking device is on the outside of the case unlike the SLi which is on the inside... to me it isn't very much worth it...Here is a clip from the mag "CPU" Edited December 18, 2005 by lostincyberspace2007
suryad Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Yep lost is right. Right now the Crossfire just does not seem like a viable solution to me. The only thing I see going for it is the ability to mix and match cards.
rendrag Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 there is actual stock of crossfire anywhere? i thought they were still trying to make those boards?
ripken204 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....Submit=Propertythe dfi board has been out about a month
Thai3g_Eclipse Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 The X1300/1600 does not require a master card to work in Crossfire. You can simply grab two X1300s or 1600s off a shelf and run them in Crossfire from the get-go. The X1800s and X800/850 are the only ones that needs a master card.
KamiQuazi Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Thai3g_Eclipse... do u have something to support that... becasue what i have read one has to be able to control the other one... read the article above...

KamiQuazi Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 2. What graphics cards work with CrossFire?A. A complete CrossFire system requires a CrossFire Ready motherboard, a CrossFire Edition graphics card and a compatible standard Radeon (CrossFire Ready) graphics card from the same series, or two CrossFire Ready cards if they are software enabled. This applies to cards from ATI or any of its partners.Card One Card Two Radeon X1800 Series Radeon X1800 CrossFire Edition Radeon X1600 Series Radeon X1600 Series Radeon X1300 Series Radeon X1300 Series Radeon X850 Series Radeon X850 CrossFire Edition Radeon X800, PRO, XL, GTO, XT or XT Platinum Edition Radeon X800 CrossFire Edbut the cards have to be Crossfire ready...
