Jeremy Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 I have DLL Authentication enabled in Sygate Personal Firewall Pro and MPC has reportedly attempted to send outgoing traffic 3 times during normal AVI playback in the last 36 hours.Application has changed since the last time you opened it, process id: 1832 Filename: C:\Program Files\Media Player Classic\Media Player Classic.exe The change was denied by user---- Modules changed: 1 ----C:\Program Files\Media Player Classic\Media Player Classic.exe---- New modules: 0 ----Severity = MajorDirection = OutgoingProtocol = NoneRemote Host = 0.0.0.0Anything to be concerned about?
Shark007 Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 (edited) In the player go to View\Options\TweaksCheck for the settings Send "Now Playing" ....This is enabled by default and can be VERY embarrassingdepending on the title you're watching !shark Edited December 4, 2005 by Shark007
Jeremy Posted December 4, 2005 Author Posted December 4, 2005 Such as pr0n? I'm not into midgets, transvestites or watersports so I don't think it can be too bad, lol. For the record, I'm watching Star Trek TNG Seaon 4.Both "Now Playing" options in tweaks are unchecked.
Shark007 Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 so that wasnt causing the Sygate warning .. thats all i can think of, sorry.shark
DigeratiPrime Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 well the remote host is "0.0.0.0" so its not sending any traffic to the internet.
Jeremy Posted December 5, 2005 Author Posted December 5, 2005 Makes me curious why Sygate would report anything at all, then...Thanks, Dig. I should have known better.
Synapse Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 My Media Player Classic is from the K-Lite codec pack, never had any problems with outgoing traffic...its nothing major, but check Player -> keys and uncheck the WinLIRC and uICE boxes (unless you have a controller that needs them)and also checkPlayer -> Web Interface and look to see if you have the listen on port box checked or not.hope this helps
