Praise the Lord - the Master is finally happy! :P So much for the voting though...

Well, glad to be of service. Have a good one! ;)

Users can still vote. I will use this one for myself

fwiw I'd vote for no14, it would be even better I think if "Second Edition" was located a few pixels lower, to be on the same bottom line with "Windows 98".

I wouldn't mind much with any banner though. :D

I'm glad we have some very talented people on the board! (I'm also very glad I went to bed early last night. LOL)

Cheers and Regards

It seems that adding MDAC 2.82 won't be that easy. It will require a lot of repacking and creating a new installer for it.

It seems like the 81 files from Win XP SP3 works well and are newer than MDAC 2.82 far as the date :w00t: I have been running them on my hybrid machine and they seem to be working well so far

I'm sorry for being 1 month late to reply ;) but I just want to say that many (most?) of the files included in XP SP3 have just a newer date but their functionality is still the same. On the other hand, the files from Windows 2003 Server SP2 (from 2007) may offer more while being "older" than the same files from XP SP3 (from 2008).

In one word - those dates don't really mean anything in most cases.

Fine work and all that, but I wanted to ask: what's with the inclusion of the inferior version of TweakUI? Isn't the 1.33 version (see http://www.mdgx.com/98-3.htm) superior?
They are the same.
Argh. Yes, they are both version 1.33 internally; I'm referring to the later version with the multiple rows of tabs (instead of the single, scrolling row) and the fixed tooltips, among other things. http://www.zisman.ca/tweakui/ has screenshots of both.

They are identical

I beg your pardon, but are you using the word "identical" in some sense I am not familiar with?

The MDGX link I mentioned above specifically lists the following changes:

compatible with ALL Windows 9x/NT4/2000/ME and MS IE 4/5/6 releases,

fixed [almost :(] ALL TweakUI 98 bugs described in this article,

ALL tabs together on the same (main) window [thank you! :)],

Mouse tab: moved here all mouse related settings, reintroduced X-Mouse Delay setting, new "Mouse Wheel" settings,

General tab: more "Effects" settings, new "Prevent application from stealing focus" setting, new "Flash taskbar button" settings (Windows 2000/ME ONLY!),

IE tab: renamed "Active Desktop Enabled" to "Allow Active Desktop to be turned on/off", renamed "IE4 Enabled" to "Shell Enhancements", new "Show Links on Favorites menu" setting,

moved "Special Folders" setting from General tab to My Computer tab,

renamed Network tab to Logon tab,

Repair tab: removed "Repair URL History", new "Repair hotkeys" setting.

Oh, When you said "They are same" I thought you meant the two different versions were the same for some reason.

Anyway, it turns out that it only displays the multiple rows of tabs when the resolution is greater than 640x480. Mea maxima culpa. :blushing:
