Linux is quite fun to set up if you have an extra machine laying around. Darn good OS. I cant believe it can compile the kernel, while running a dvd ripper, surfing the net, listening to music all at once with no hint of lag! It is amazing! Too bad it is not as easy as XP IMO. I am gonna acquire a machine and install Linux on it.....Gentoo I believe soon enough.

Anyone know where i can download a Vmware player virtual machine for Ubuntu with the HD space not preallocated i.e. not from the official site which is 500 or so Mb. thanks.

Its much easier to make the virtual machine yourself, & then run it in the player anywhere you want!

I don't have the paid for version so it will be kind of difficult making a virtual machine. I suppose i could download the trial version and make a virtual machine for ubuntu.

Are there any limits on how many virtual machines you make etc in the trial version?

No such limits.

Just have to register once at the VMware homepage, for a trial license.

After that, it runs good for 30-45 days.
