I found a 160GB Retail Segate SATA drive for $112 dollars on newegg, but I also found an OEM Maxtor Diamondmax 300GB drive for around $120, and wanted to know if the speed that SATA gives it worth it. Almost double the space, which I probably will never fill up for 8 dollars more is a great deal, but I want to know if the speed that Sata gives is worth the lesser space. I probably wouldn't fill the 160GB drive either.

If space considerations aren't much of a factor in your purchase I would most definately go with the SATA. Just be sure you've got a sata controller on your mobo of course.
