gdogg Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 DMA is direct memory access, correct me if im wrong.
kurt476 Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 DMA is direct memory access, correct me if im wrong.yes you are correct that's what DMA stands for.
gdogg Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 (edited) so what do you think a higher number than 64 will do?what would 64 stand for? Edited October 17, 2005 by gdogg
grafx1 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 (edited) But i have Fresh UI software (tweaking program) and this option is dimmed there...do you know why? because it is 9x/ME tweak not for XP !! see this: http://imagebag.cfsmedia.co.uk/images/67731857.jpg Edited October 18, 2005 by grafx1
suryad Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 I have reservations about using this tweak because I have not yet read a satisfactory explanation on the benefits of increasing this. DMA as I learned from my architecture class is a hack...an x86 legacy...for device drivers. No other hardware architecture uses this. Hnece my doubts.
