If I download all of the KBnnnnnn.exe updates to a directory, is there a tool or a way through which I could install all of them unattended without reboots or any intervention. Thanks.

Thanks. When I ran GsmSlipIt.exe, it offered the updates, and then I could download the ones I want. In my case, I already have all of the updates and want to install them in automatically, unattended.

I use this batch file for my hotfixes. I call it with CMDLINES.TXT but you can do it  your own way. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that should work. I wonder, however, whether Qchain is necesssary for XP SP2. I understood that SP2 will inherently resolve the issue for which Qchain was designed.

Try my sig for slipstreaming your hotfixes instead of patching after installation. It supports localized settings (ie you can do languages other than English).

Hope this helps.
