I just bought a P4 650 and it came with instructions on attaching the h/s to the chip once in a board and all that. be sure to read the manual that came with your mobo as well. Phyridean Posted September 28, 2005 Share Posted September 28, 2005 I purchased an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ retail, and it came with instructions and heatsink/fan. Everyone above is correct that it won't keep you going with overclocking for long periods of time, I've gotten my 3000+ up to a 3800+ with the standard cooling...I turned it back down because I don't want to end its life prematurely and I don't need the extra speed, but the heatsink/fan combo is certainly high quality for a bundled solution.
