The long awaited 1.2 is here. Along with a slew of improvements, the most notable new feature is Mainline compatible DHT (Trackerless) support. The version was bumped from 1.1.7.2 to 1.2 due to the significance of the changes. Note however that Unicode is not yet supported, but it will be available soon. Also, the changes for the unofficial 1.1.8.RC1 version are listed below. You can get it from the download section.

- Change: *.cpl is an unsafe file

- Fix: fixed a status bar flicker issue when going into a menu

- Fix: Prevent listen error if you start up µTorrent immediately after closing it.

i changed from azureus to utorrent and i like it !

i dont see any performance problems, though utorrent is faster

I'm proud to present the first Unicode-enabled version of µTorrent. This will make it possible for international users to use µTorrent to download files with special character sets. It will also make it simpler for translators to translate µTorrent to their native languages.

Please note that old torrents might not find the corresponding files if the filenames contain extended characters. If you re-add the torrents in the Unicode version, it should work fine.
