tell me if this is allowed or not, if you consider it hacking then please close the thread

i have a few games that i made into virtual cd's and i dont want to have like 4gigs worth of it since i dont have the space. i do this b/c i hate switching the cd's all the time b/c i play alot of games. does anyone know how to make a mini-image so that it will take only like 50megs instead of 600megs.

You have to dl it from specialisez site. For example mini-image for battlefield 2 only take 1.5 meg instead of the dvd. But you can'T do this yourself, you have to know wich part of the data the cd protection use. Lately Star-force 5 and Securom cd protection have became reel good... So It hard to no cd.

I dont think that no-cd is a piracy issue, is ok to discuss this on this board.

well he said he bought the game. I also make all my games into ISO's or something, so i don't have to get my cds out all the time, so this would be useful for me too.

well what about games without any protection, just a cd check, games like starcraft and warcraft II i can play with a copy of the disk. for warcraft II the best that i could do was use isobuster and delete all of the file except intstall.exe which is still like 450megs and it worked. but thats still huge!

I think SafeDisc is the only game image that can be mini-ed? try it on other copy protections too... or if worse comes to worse do what i do... Burn them to a DVD... :thumbup
