gamehead200
OK,After reformatting a few days ago, I've been having this one problem that's really annoying me. Everytime I open up one of my mapped network drives, it says that there is an incorrect username or password asks me for another username/password, but I always enter the one it said was incorrect and it accepts it...How can I fix this problem? rjz
I would delete the mapped drive then gointo your users cp and add your self there then remap.
chilifrei64
is the machine you are trying to access showing up any failure in the security log. if so(they should be) what are they saying. Taking the obvious out of the way.. they are a part of the same workgroup right.

rjz
Did you go into the managed network password area. I forgot to post about that in the users cp.

rjz
Goto your user accounts conrol panel. Click on yourself if needed. IN relates tasks on the top left click on manage net passwords. Click add and add it following the guidlines. That is a good workaround to save any type of passwors using shares.

rjz
That's strange. What happens if you change the user and computer name on the server? Does the servers event viewer say anything?

DeepXP
okay last try...in the server where htdocs is stored..check properties of that folder..and then check tab sharing and then clickon permissions buttonand see if guest is allowed or not...and if you have simple file sharing unchecked (tools - folder options - views - [last option]) then check in security tab also...if not allowed then add it...that should do the job...Deep
