my unattended cd

Recommended Posts

My Windows XP Home sp2 unattended cd is comming along quite good but there are still a few things that i don't quite know how to achieve them:

these are the things i still want to do:

- Set FireFox (1.0.6) as the default browser(checking)(found: here)

- Change the default wallpaper (Bliss) to EnergyBliss(done)

- Include additional themes (suggestions?)

- Include more programs (suggestions?)

- Set the default Windows style (custom styles) using a reg and/or a batchfile

Can someone help me out with these?

Thanks in advance ;)

You can create a default theme by making a .theme file using the Save As button in the Themes tab of Display Properties.

Copy this file to your $OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes folder on your CD. If you have a wallpaper that isn't part of the Windows XP standard, collection, then copy it to the same folder as the .theme file. Then use the [shell] section of winnt.sif and the CustomDefaultThemeFile = PATH property.

Asin: this is not exactly what I meant, I wanted to let the choice to the user to select wich theme they want to use as default, I'm using the WPI wizard.

I got these themes:

Aero5203

Firefox

Gel XP

Media Center Style

TBird (Thunderbird)

Windows MAX Unleashed x64 Edition

Windows XP/classic Style

WMP X

XP Mania´s Windows MAX Apocalypse x64 Edition

I won't reffer to 60% of those items in the list to be cosmetic

What do you mean by "include more programs" ???????

I think for firefox, just use the switch "SetDefaultBrowser" (or something like that, search this forum more, it has already been discused)

For the wallpaper you can use this reg tweak and after reboot or re-logon or windows reload wallpaper it's okay ...

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"Wallpaper"="C:\\%WinDir%\\Web\\Wallpaper\\MyImage.bmp"
