Ok ok i think your missing the point here, Iam at college and iam trying to do an assignment on Hacking! But they have netpilot on the network so thats i cannot access any pages that have hacking info on them.

So thats why i posted in here to see if anyone has any information on hacking... simply because i cant access Hacking Websites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

id tell your teacher how retarded a project it is when you cant get info on it becuase of their stupid system settings.

also depends what type of hacker your talking about. you mean hacker as in a person who causes malicous damage, misschief, theft etc?

or someone who modifies things, hardware or software to suit their own needs?

someone who hacks web pages does it to:

prove a point to the web site owner, get revenge etc

make a political, social statement

to look "cool" infront of their other lame friends

to draw attention to the admin about vulnerabilities while having fun at their expense. this type of attacker will usually mail the admin a detailed description of the exploit and how to fix it. they may or may not deface the site to some extent to prove they are not making it up.

other people break into systems to steal things, programs, documents, money transfer etc etc. or to even steal bandwidth. usually someone gets hacked for the later reason, someone sets up an FTP server and uses that machine for distributing warez to peers via word of mouth, warez sites or IRC bots. or uses the system to attack other machines, either as part of a Botnet or as a proxy to mask their own identity.

before i go on and write the paper for you i should have given you enough to go on there surely. also try use googles cached pages as the web pilot may not block them as it thinks they are google pages. (theres one very simple hacker trick, your using something to get what you want to bypass the schools dumb system, this is the kind of thing the REAL hacker would do, just a very basic example. also see things such as linux Xbox project, thats hacking, and the school wont have blocked it)
