AMDs, what is the differnece in the names? Clawhammer, San Diago, Venice, NewCastle, and Winchesters?

Is there a performance gain in one over another?

toledo b/c they have 1mb cache per core equaling 2mb total, the manchester have 512kb per core

for the best performance:price ratio the 4400 is the best

the 4400 and 4800 are toledo's

the 4200 and 4600 are manchester's

and there will be a 3800 with the manchester core coming in the begining of august

Well at what i am looking at I think everything but the Manchester and Toldeo.... But correct me if im an wrong Ripken204.

@rip what's the 939 series of AMD 64x then?

everything listed in the 1st post plus the dual cores are s939 with the exception that newcastle is socket 754 and 939

there are no differences between them except the obvious, and that obvious just lets u multitask way better and thats it
