i gotta intel d845wn board

installed 256 + 256+ 128 RAM

will this combination of RAM work perfectly or just 256 +256 will work and 128 is fake

i have heard all the RAM must be of same size

it will work fine

The RAM Modules can be any size, but they all must be the same speed, and the same type (DDR, RDRAM, SDRAM)......

they dont have to be the same speed, if u have a 3200 and a 2700 speed, then the 3200 will default to 2700

ripken but having 2 256 dimm's at same speed and 128 at a lower speed wud be abottleneck just as u mentioned so that will slow down the PC.so what i suggest is go for 2 256's RAM's with same speed

and how will it be a bottleneck? all the ram modules will default to the speed of the slowest one, therefore there is no way that one module can be bottnecked by another
