oldwolf
You shouldnt have any problems at all.A lot of OEM's are doing just that, a burner and a ROM.I got hat setup too and havent had any probs at all.oldwolf

Gee
The optical drives operate independantly. It is like having two hard drives. Makes no difference.
techniquefreak
Hakeem - hate to say this, but ...Note that there are quite a few DVD-roms out there that just don't cut the ice - I've had issues with both Pioneer, Teac and Toshiba DVD-rom drives and finally settled for a good DVD-burner and a good CD-writer ...You might want to get a good cd-writer instead to complement you DVD burner - or go buy a second "backup" DVD burner ...Just so you don't get dissappointed as I did a few times
