Long Pause at T-39 before GUI loads

Hey all,

I got my UA DVD working very well, and all the great info on this board definitely helps out. Just a few small things being pesky now.

There's a pretty long delay (5-7 minutes) before DetachedProgram runs at T-39 after Windows reboots into GUI-mode setup. I'm not really sure what it's doing or why it's taking so long...it just sits there with a light blue screen and a mouse pointer, and eventually the GUI Setup will load and proceed normally.

I made the installer unattended using nLite and integrated BTS driverpacks. Otherwise, the rest of the stuff is done through runonceex, so I don't see how that would affect anything.

Any ideas/suggestions on what may be causing this?

depending on the method you used for the BTS driverpacks...it could just be caused by the driverpacks extracting themselves as it would take time for them to finish.

I get this too, buit I am not using the driver packs...could be Ryan's pack...not sure

This has been discussed also nLite forum, so it could be also a bug of nLite.

But definitively not a problem of BTS driver pack.

Im having this issue also, I do used both the driverpacks and ryanvm's pack. I dotn have time to test them individually so maybe some could do this and report back?

I get some delay as well, normally a few mins, but there is hard drive activity during this period so I'm not too worried.

same here also i dont use ryanvms or bts driver packs only nlite => must be a nlite bug

I don't use nLite...just Ryan's pack...it's probably just the CAT files
