Mitolo
So does any one have it working bug free as I too realy need to make a WinXP64 Slipstream CD with NVIDIA SATA/RAID Drivers as I see no need to go buy a crapy FLOPPY. If yes could I get a link or the info THANKS.....<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I got it to work by using the latest drivers on www.planetamd.com using Green Machines methodPlacing these lines at the end of my txtsetup.sif fileAlso I'm running a Asus K8N-E Dlx MB if that makes any difference[SourceDisksFiles]nvrdx64.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1nvatax64.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1[HardwareIdsDatabase]GenNvRaidDisk = "nvrdx64"*_NVRAIDBUS = "nvrdx64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_008E = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0085 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00EE = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E3 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E5 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0035 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0036 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_003E = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0053 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0054 = "nvatax64"PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0055 = "nvatax64"Then I compressed all the files except for txtsetup.oem using makecab. And copied them to the AMD64 folder of my CD source files. Now if I could just get the si3114r drivers to work.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I will give it a go and see what it does "Mitolo crosses his fingers I will report back after the burn. Oh and buy the way when making the cab file is that WinRAR your using to make it ?

jbm
I'm really embarrassed, found out I don't have the nvraid drivers integratedproperly. I have 2 raid arrays, one on the nvraid and one on the si3114rcontrollers. As long as I boot from and install windows on the si3114rcontroller all the drives show up in text mode and after the second reboot. If I boot or just install to the nvraid then I get a blue screen with the 0x0000007Berror. I was trying to setup a duel boot when I found this out.I've had luck with the methode discussed here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=47053getting the si3114r controller, but so far no luck with the nvraid. TheDr!ll
The nvraid drivers are causing havoc to install, if you are not using the raid config and just sata drives the native drivers in windows will work fine.

Just don't know why I thought I had it working.Up too late at night I guess I've decided to quit trying to get the nvidia controller to work for now.And have moved all my drives to the si3114r controller. Pyr0
the nvidia controller is faster
TheDr!ll
Yes maybe, but you only have to click the .exe file to install them after the unattended install has finished using windows native drivers..until we can integrate them properly anyway!! jbm
the nvidia controller is faster<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yea, just got sick of trying to get it to work.I'll try again later with a new driver or if someoneposts some new info. anywayI ran some tests using HD Tach and it showedthe burst speed of the nvidia twice as fastas the si3114r. But the average speed wasonly a little faster. andCPU use was 10% for the nvidia and 2% for si3114r.Now I need to try some games to see if I notice any differencein loading times. DisabledTrucker
Hmm, I noticed that noone here is mentioning the entries that need to go into Dosnet.inf as well when trying to install these drivers, also not sure as I haven't taken a look at the Sata drivers for x64 yet, but inside the x32 pack there are a couple of .dll files in the pack as well, that need to go into your System32 folder during install and that information too has to be placed into your Txtsetup.sif file as well as your Dosnet.inf file, I wonder if you all have tried that to get these working? I know it works on XPx32 because that's the way I get them to be recognized by XP SP2 when installing, and I don't use WinNT.sif to do it either. In fact I used Pyron's method to install them, but as I've seen elsewhere here it's not possible to do it using Pyron's method because noone has updated the files to 64 bit yet... This is a shame too that noones been able to do this because I would so much rather use that method to install XPx64 on my system then try and see if I can get XPx64 to try and find them on it's own in the $OEM$ folder, which has proven unreliable in the past. trainee
I had no problem adding the NVRAID drivers for my SATA 2drive Raid0 stripe using the MassStorageDrivers method (M2). You have to do some slight directory changes for XP64 bit and you have to make sure you have the newer nvRaid bios but it worked on the first try for me.see: TEXTMODE MassStorageDrivers MethodI used the ASUS provided winxp64 v665 drivers from the \IDE\WinXP\sataraid directory (adjust as neccesary) on a A8N-E flashed to bios 1011-004 Sections in /AMD64/winnt.sif[MassStorageDrivers]"NVIDIA RAID CLASS DRIVER (required)" = "OEM""NVIDIA nForce Storage Controller (required)" = "OEM""IDE CD-ROM (ATAPI 1.2)/PCI IDE Controller" = "RETAIL"[OEMBootFiles]txtsetup.oemnvrdx64.infnvata.catnvrdx64.sysnvatax64.sysidecoi.dllnvcoi.dllnvraidco.dllnvide.nvuModified txtsetup.oem:[Disks]d1 = "NVIDIA RAID DRIVER (SCSI)",\disk1,\[Defaults]scsi = RAIDCLASS[scsi]RAIDCLASS = "NVIDIA RAID CLASS DRIVER (required)"BUSDRV = "NVIDIA nForce Storage Controller (required)"[Files.scsi.RAIDCLASS]driver = d1,nvrdx64.sys,RAIDCLASSinf = d1,nvrdx64.infinf = d1,nvraidco.dllcatalog = d1,nvata.cat[Files.scsi.BUSDRV]driver = d1,nvatax64.sys,BUSDRVinf = d1, nvrdx64.infinf = d1,idecoi.dllcatalog = d1, nvata.cat[Config.RAIDCLASS][Config.BUSDRV][HardwareIds.scsi.RAIDCLASS]id = "GenNvRaidDisk","nvrdx64"id = "*_NVRAIDBUS","nvrdx64"id = "*NVRAIDBUS","nvrdx64"[HardwareIds.scsi.BUSDRV]id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_008E", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0085", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00EE", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E3", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E5", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0035", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0036", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_003E", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0053", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0054", "nvatax64"id = "PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0055", "nvatax64"I put all of the files in these directories from the CDROOT/AMD64/$OEM//$OEM$/$$/OemDir//$OEM/TEXTMODE/you probably dont need copy all of these files to all of these locations, but its not too much space and I would rather only burn once. Anyway my 2cents.
