Anyone had Longhorn 5048 running on VMware?

longhorn 5048 do not virtual PC and VMware.

the only way is to create NTFS partition with third party tool and then install longhorn

i tried the guide to put 5048 on vmware5

5048 copies files to my vmware5 disk, reboots, starts the setup, and then completely freezes after about 10 mins at the part where you can alt-tab and launch taskmanager.

any ideas?

No luck here using lastest version from VWare 5.

It keeps freezing at the same spot everyone else gets stuck! Crappy Micro$oft, it worked fine for build 4074.....

Ok, I got it working, don't know what I was doing wrong. I did what everyone else did.... It just worked all of a sudden

- Installed VMware Workstation v4.5.2 Build 8848

- Made a new Windows Server 2003 Disk space with 12GB

- Preformatted the disk with NTFS, using SCSI

- Gave it 512MB of system memory

- Disabled the sound, (My sound card doesn't work with Longhorn - Audigy2 PlatEx)

Worked like a charm!

BTW: I tried it on my SATA drive first, that didn't work. The third-forth time around I installed it on my old Maxtor 80GB, IDE. B)
