Broken Hope
I need to extract an MSI so I can get the files from inside, is this possible? It's a driver, I would prefer to have the driver files instead of using an installer
jdoe
WinINSTALL LE (free) can do that. It's the only way I know of doing it but I'm sure there's more program for that.
purewaveform
jdoe is correct I think that that is the only free tool to do it. Another way is to install an active hd monitor, then when the msi runs, you just watch to see where it drops the temp files, and go and copy them before the get deleted at the end. Pretty simple. Broken Hope
I ended up using the /a switch and doing an admin install point, and pointing it to my hard drive.
Yzöwl
You can also extract many, but not all of them with some common compression utilities.
