Would it be possible to just copy a modifed boot.ini during runonceex that would overwrite the default boot.ini? Though I think with BOOTCFG that this would work bootcfg /raw "/USEPMTIMER" though I'm not sure.

Would it be possible to add a switch to the boot.ini during the runonceex part of my install or even during cmdlines.txt? I need to add the /usepmtimer switch.

I notice ryans site has a ton of hotfixes that don't have download links on microsofts site, does anyone have download links for these updates?

I ended up using the /a switch and doing an admin install point, and pointing it to my hard drive.

I need to extract an MSI so I can get the files from inside, is this possible? It's a driver, I would prefer to have the driver files instead of using an installer

I mean the play all button in music folders in the left bar doesn't work at all, but yes this dll stops the move to and copy to boxes appearing. I tried doing the standard unregistor but it wasn't working.

I've just slipstreamed SP2 to my SP1 cd and the root of the cd now has an ident file for each version, do I need to keep the win51ip.SP1 file, or do I only need the win51ip.SP2 file?

Do you have default network components set to no? Because how I posted is exactly how I do it in my own installs and I only ever have tcp/ip installed.

Add: [NetClients] [NetServices] like that with nothing under each heading.

It's really simple actually you just add: [NetClients] with nothing under that heading and it doesn't install any.

Has anyone managed to make an unattended nvmixer install? It uses an installshield file, I made an iss file which works fine in normal windows, but doesn't seem to work when I try on a fresh install in unattend. It requires direct X 9b to be installed, which I install at the same time as the mixer, would I need to install it after a reboot do you think?

It updates all the files found in Q828026 to higher versions so why not list it?
