Bâshrat the Sneaky
Probably the battery on your motherboard isn't working properly anymore, nothing abnormal. Please tell how old your motherboard/PC is?
SiMoNsAyS
probably your pc is about 5/8 years old.i think the same as Bâshrat, your CMOS battery is depleted. you'll need to replace it in order to maintain data stored on it (like your clock).it won't be difficult or expensive
Bâshrat the Sneaky
An advice: DON'T let a 'professional' do it, they will probably rip you off... All you have to do is open your case, remove the current battery (can't miss it, its cross-cut is ~1cm), take it to a shop, buy a new one (1-2€) and place it back (with the right side up).Probably you'd have to pay a 'professional' 25€ or more... wullieb1
As has been said its the CMOS battery and this is typically a CR2032 coin cell battery.
Stealth870
Interesting...this is on a 1 year old Dell btw Thought it would be battery, wonder why it crapped up now...
^_^
sometimes there's a current leak on the mobo that depletes the battery prematurelyor maybe it's just a defective batteryMy recommendation is always build your own computer and never buy a delloops, did I say that? If it 's still under warranty, badger Dell till they fix itcome to thing of it, badger them anyway
