Sunil
hmm, never tried XPeros solution, however you can use a windows xp cd enter the rescue console and enter fixmbr, it will fix the problem right up. Sunil

Takeshi
ncheepool is on the right track.I'd do all of the following in RC:bootcfg /rebuildfixbootfixmbrand check that there is a ntldr and ntdetect.com in C:\ .
xla76
copy ntldr, ntdetect.com and boot.ini to floppy. modify boot.ini to something like:[boot loader]timeout=3default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS[operating systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(0)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectmulti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectmulti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectmulti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectyou can then choose which partition you want to boot xp from. if you have more than one disk then you will need to add settings for disk(1) etc
