Hi lansing,

I went to verizon.com and was redirected. I didn't see a problem there. I didn't get any pop ups. I searched the page and couldn't find anything that would need or want to be downloaded. Are you still having the problem? Did you download the file? (the site appears completely legit but downloading the file is at your own risk) If you did download it, does it still have the name www22.verizon[1] ? All images on the page were 5kb or smaller and I couldn't find anything that was 34kb in size.

Edit: Are you using IE? The brackets at the end of the file make it look like something IE does on saving multiple files with the same name.

Look at the topic title : "An IE Browsing Problem"

Something is wrong with your file associations I think. It is seeing www.verizon.com as a .com file instead of a web address I think. Try reseting your Internet file associations with Firefox or Internet Explorer. That should probably work.

Well, it's been awhile since I used MSIE (it blows :)), but try this;

Options -> Advanced

There should be some subtitle called "HTTP 1.1 options". Try toggling off/on the "Via proxy"-checkbox.
