lansing Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 does this forum allow to post questions about Bittorrent?
un4given1 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=18408Wouldn't that be classified as warez?
gamehead200 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 does this forum allow to post questions about Bittorrent?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>It depends on what you are trying to download... When SP2 first came out, people were downloading SP2 from the BT network and MSFN even provided a link to it...
un4given1 Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 As long as you don't break the forum guidelines or ask for warez in any way.. I don't see a problem with that.
DigeratiPrime Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 you can ask questions about bitorrent Programs IMO, But if people are having trouble with that software, please check the programs website first.I would really be annoyed if people started posting the usuall "how do I forward ports?" or the "What is a router?" people started showing up...
epic Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 You can ask but be cautious what you ask. Torrent gotten a bad rap after being exploited by the pirateing idustry.Several legitament companies still use it as a form of downloading large files.
prathapml Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 As far as starting a bit-torrent forum goes, it'd be pointless. One, there's plenty of sites and forums for that. Two, not a large percentage of our members use it. Three, if its something good you're trying to download, you are more than likely to find direct http/ftp links or free-uploader hosts. So there's no reason to start an entire forum for it, coz it will very quickly deteriorate into you-know-what.If anyone has any tech questions about bt, you might as well ask it in "software hangout" forum.
