larciel Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 i'm using nlite .998 and bash's DP .. i also use Ryan's 1.2 patch.the CD works perfectly fine, but i get this pop up during installation (where setup detects Hardware and monitor flickers couple times) .. and it asks me for my approval of 'connecting internet when hardware is connected' .. and i have to manually go through that step so then the setup resumes.anyone else getting this problem?? the Plug and Play Monitor installs fine when i choose "Install the software Automatically" (Recommended)thanks in adv.!
HeadHunter2 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 look for the correct driver for your monitor, download it and integrate the driver.
nuhi Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Try with nLite's unattended setup and also use Tweak to bypass that silly option.
larciel Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 *possible bug?*i've tried to add some Tweak options to my already nlited folder and i've added some tweaks.. and nlite has been stuck at 'preparing selected tasks' for 30 minutes now.*edit*fixed, files were set as 'read only'
larciel Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 and i tried to remove 'update driver from web prompt' but i can't find it in 99.8 .. is it still there?*found under Tweak section*
larciel Posted February 27, 2005 Author Posted February 27, 2005 removed it, but gets same messagewindow pops up saying if i want to update it through windows update.. hmm? i checked to remove that with nlite.
larciel Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 problem is driving me crazy.. anyone got answers ?is this because i put monitor .ini files under my DRV files ?nuhi, i checked that option to disable drv updates from web prompt, but it still pops up.. anyone having same problem?
nuhi Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Yes, it pops up for me too.I'm gonna solve this before 1.0.
crackmod Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I had the same problems, mainly with onboard Intel graphics (Dell GX270,GX280, D400, D610). The following XP pre-sp3 hotfix corrects the issue:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;883667
surfer2k Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Hi All,Is it a way to find this pre-SP3 hotfix ? I search on the web but nothing to download! Can someone send me this files pleaseThanks
super_freak Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Call Microsoft support and the will send you the patch by mail.
surfer2k Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 I call and he send me this patch. I confirm that after this hotfix I didn't have popup during setup. Thank's for information@+
calus Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I can also confirm that the hotfix solves this problem. Just a note for future reference:In my case it occoured after adding drivers for the Intel D946GZTS board. After integrating the 883667 hotfix into my xpsource folder (.exe /integrate:c\[xp_install_source]) the unattended installation now runs smoothly again... Also, Microsoft aren't charging you for the support when you call them, as hotfixes is supplied for free.... But remember to ask for the file in the same language as your xp installation, as it otherwise don't work.**Claus Egholm Nielsen
