My Wireless Config

Recommended Posts

OK, well, I decided to go and buy another wireless router today, and I'm glad I did!!

Here is my current configuration:

  |
  | MODEM/INTERNET
  |
-------------
|           |-- Dell
| Wireless  |
|  Router   |-- Server
|           |
-------------
  |
  | UPLINK PORT
  |
-------------
|           |-- Main Desktop
|   Wired   |-- Testing Machine
|   Router  |-- Wire to Bed (this was for before I added wireless to my room)
|           |
-------------
  |
  | CROSSOVER CABLE
  |
-------------
|           |
| Wireless  |
|  Router   |
|           |
-------------

What do you guys think?? Too much wireless for you?

BTW, that UPLINK PORT has a LONG wire going from my basement to my room (through the walls, of course)! ;)

Why did you need a new router? Blind spots in your house?

Oh, and you can never have enough wireless!

Half my house had a blind spot... BTW, I also bought this router because its the one with the Linux firmware... :D I flashed it last night with a hacked firmware and now I can do tons of things, like increase the signal strength, telnet into it, etc... :D

I think I can do roaming... :P
