ripken204 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 my start menu is huge and the more things i add to the left part of it the bigger it gets
Yzöwl Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 My Unattended CD collection is quite large, and amazingly, the more I add to it, the bigger it seems to become....go figure
ripken204 Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 what does that have to do with anything?
Mekrel Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Right click the part in question, choose properties and select customise by the start change:number of start menu items to: 0that will sort it.
Ge0ph Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I think what Yzöwl is saying is that if you add a bunch of CD to your CD collection, your CD collection will be bigger. If you add a bunch of cars to your car collection, your car collection will be bigger. And so in the same vain, if you add more programs to the Start Menu, the Start Menu will get bigger. The real problem is that the space below has a certain amount of space reserved for frequently used programs. Like Mekrel said, you need to decrease the number of reserved slots for frequently used programs because Windows will display that number of spots even if they are not being used.
ripken204 Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 ya mekrel got it for me, i recently decided not to shoe the recent programs i used and therefore it wuld just add spaces under the programs i permenently put there, thx
