MSN Messenger 7

How can I install MSN Messeger 7 sillent??

I've got 3 files:

1: The official Beta release from MS.

2: A patch to take the publi, multi-msn, etc.

3: MsgPLUS 3.40 (Beta)

I dunno how to install the patch and all the rest.

Any1 can help me??

As MCT said 1 and 3 are already covered. The 2nd to get the patch to work is a bit harder. Anyway, what I have done is install MSN Messenger 7 and then apply the patch. Go to C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger and then create an SFX Rar of msnmsgs.exe and have it extract to %programfiles%\MSN Messenger and over write the original exe.

I´m just a little bit confused here...

Dear MCT and dear yoz7120; I cant´t find any post about installing the msn messenger 7 beta silently in this forum.

I have tried the same method as with the 6.xxx but that doesn´t work on the 7 beta.

So please direct me to the right post.

use winrar to extract from the .exe setup file a .msi file (/qb /qn switches makes it silent).

about the patch i doubt it can be silent, you can try to apply the patch and then overwrite the old msnmsgr.exe.

for msngr plus! switch /SilentInstallNoSponsor

@SwedenXP, every1 of this covered many times, probably you couldn't find an especific thread because it uses the same way of installation as the curretn msn6

Thanx @SiMoNsAyS, will give it a try, again... Have tried the /QB so I´ll try the /QN next time.

It´s just the basic install that doesn´t work... but thanx anyway!

Heres my code for installing MSN Mesenger v7

Thanx to all You Gentlemen! I finally got it to work properly. (added the bootstrap.exe from the original exe-file to the install catalog). Silly me

I for one copy exe via batch:

COPY /Y "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\MSNMessenger\msnmsgr.exe" "%ProgramFiles%\MSN Messenger"

i guess @war patches the exe for multi-msn, remove ads, and after installing overwrite the original exe... or not?
