millky Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 is there an official windows xp sp2 with windows media player 10 integrated in sp2or i must install it after sp2 or in slipstreamed install?
mattofak Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Yes, there is a retail version of WinXP with SP2 and WM10, but remember, you'd have to buy the cd and that goes for about $100, so why bother and just slipstream it along with SP2(if it isnt already) onto a new CD that costs all of $1?Anyways, to answer your question, most new retail WinXP CD's will have WM10 pre slipstreamed into the install...

bucketbuster Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 ... and the easy way XP CD + SP2 + WMP10 + nLite Why is that the easy way?MCE2005 already has SP2 AND WMP10 integrated Off course, using nLite makes it even better
SiMoNsAyS Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 how much you pay slipstreaming your free hotfixes and how much buying mce2005
prathapml Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 most new retail WinXP CD's will have WM10 pre slipstreamed into the install...No, it won't. The retail CD has only SP2 merged.MCE2005 has WMP10+SP2 - but that's a totally different story (its not available in retail, and is only sold with Media Center PCs by OEMs).
Marsden Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 XP MCE 2005 is also available to any OEM white box builder and it's included in the MS Action Pack Subscription in the Oct '04 update.
