expand drivers.cab & sp2.cab

In jdeboeck's guide he say that you should expand drivers.cab and sp2.cab to DRIVER and SP2, but how do you expand? I cant figure it out... hope you guys can help me . thx

You could use jdeboeck's batches or nLite if you are planning to reduce the size of your XP.

I didn't get the batch files from his site working, because they was'nt in the XPCD folder.

But, I still got a problem I think... the drivers folder now contain 14,7 mb where the cab is 73,1 mb. I think the sp2 is fine.. it contains 47,5 mb, and the cab contains 17,8 mb.

The EXPAND command from a dos prompt will expand a .cab file. And as Neuro42 has said so will GUI apps Winrar, Winzip or Winace.

Jdeboeck's batches are only for SP1.

nLite is for XP-SP1-SP2.

His batch files can be easily adapted for SP2. My main computer is currently beyond my reach, but I'll post the batch file I use for combining the cabs when I have access to it again in a couple days.
