Jeremy
Is there a way to make the MSN Inbox Link in Messenger's main window open in Firefox when it is clicked?
Cartoonite
I've wondered about this myself, Jeremy. It would simplify my computing life greatly if I could configure MSN Messenger to open all links using their default clients rather than the Microsoft clients specifically.I don't hold out much hope for this (there is a reason M$ is constantly being sued over monopoly laws, after all) but, if it can be done, I would love to know how. SiMoNsAyS
i doubt it, i guess the msgr main executable calls iexplore.exe and that's why it can't be changed (you can always try to reshack it).
Jeremy
What's that and isn't there a way to make it called firefox instead of iexplore.exe?

prathapml
Is there a way to make the MSN Inbox Link in Messenger's main window open in Firefox when it is clicked?Yes, there is. Some sort of patch that I'd seen.... I'll look out for it again, and post the link here (if I run across it again).Similarly, there's some way to make all calls to IE convert to ff instead. If you want the quickest possible way, overwrite the IE folder with your ff executable and associated files. I use the nLite program and fortunately (Heh) I removed IE + Core. But, let's think about this...Seriously...Registry editing?
