JamesB Posted September 30, 2002 Posted September 30, 2002 I've set up a few wireless connections - nothing major. Just two or three machines connecting to each other, or a wireless hub.Maybe I can help... Does the software all install ok? What OS are you using?
FthrJACK Posted September 30, 2002 Posted September 30, 2002 Drew- that would depend on the walls and also, line of site would suggest that the transmitter isnt omnidirectional.geforce... sorry bud no experiance, i did say read up on it, could have saved you some cash for equipment and also you would have an idea on what to do.Banetrrp is the wireless networker round here.but for starters... take the router out of the equiation for now, it will just complicate matters (as routers always do lol)
Guest Posted September 30, 2002 Posted September 30, 2002 Microsoft Wireless Networking here: 300 feet apart, good signals still....through walls..My friend is coming ova, do set em up 2nite..
Guest Posted September 30, 2002 Posted September 30, 2002 Signal from about 240ft. away from Wireless Router Base...
LS_Dragons Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 I can probably help - but need more info. Were the computers in a network before? Are they all part of same workgroup? Did you set them to get their IP address automatically? From what I have read, if you already had a network - the MS wizard that comes with the software is kind of screwy. But if no previous network, then should be easy as ABC.LS_DragonsHey Drewdatrip - I looked for your network question, but no find? have a link and I will take a look.LS
