I agree with Sonic these updates should be included in your list HULK. I have all the updates you have listed save for GDI+, Melicious Virus Tool, and the one that fixes XP screwing up after SP2 installs (I have my SP2 slipstreamed and GDI+ and Virus Tool i apply through the registry. So i have a total of 45 hotfixes i install.

When I try to install hotfix KB889858, KB887078 or KB884267 on Windows media

player 10.00.00.3802 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=

already included in that build.

Updates for windows media may be placed in NON-CRITICAL section,

I dont think hotfixes that need additional testing and are not "Stable" should be added to the hotfix list. Most of the fixes you list m1m1m1m101 are only to address particular problems with windows media player 10 or windows. If you want to add windows media player 10 hotfixes i have only found two fixes that are "offical/stable" fixes that need no more testing.

Yea the hotfixes i listed are only the ones that do not need additional testing. The hotfixes you have listed need additinal testing, personal i dont want to install unstable hotfixes. There are dozens of other windows updates also availible that could be placed on the list, (like those inlcuded in Ryan's back) that address certain problems and are still in testing stages. We dont want all those hotfixes listed on this list do we? Just official hotfixes that would be seen on windows update was what i though this post was originally about.

Also boooggy it seems that some of your fixes listed dont even have knowledge base articles...

And this hotfix (WindowsMedia10-KB910393-x86-ENU.exe) is for windows Media center not XP...

KB891122 is windows media format dist and contains the SAME files from wmp 10 setup pack.

and all updates i posted are official not unstable hotfixes. (i know that unofficial hotfixes cant be downloaded from m$ they have to be requested to Microsoft support)

Yes i know there are hotfixes that are unoffical that you can only get by request but im talking about hotfixes that have this in the knowledge base article

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows XP service pack that contains this hotfix.

There are many hotfixes that may still need additional testing. some of these WMP10 hotfixes are the same way and i dont think they should be placed on the update page.

Here is an example of a hotfix that has the above quote in the KB article. There are many others.

If a hotfix has lable "not stable" this doesn't display that there is a lot of bug's or anything

else, this only mean that there was no fully completed official process testing of hotfix. Inside

microsoft they themselves use this hotfixes and this hotfixes also included in ryanvm pack. I

think microsoft never be public it, only include in new build.

Moreover for wmp exist a lot of not stable hotfixes and only this one, that I writed, have the

public link for download. This mean that many people request in microsoft for this hotfix and

many people needed in that.

As concerning 904415, I saw it before, but ignore it because of "applies to" section

(only Microsoft Windows Media Format 9.5 SDK). Now i see that it's also need.

And about 888656, I don't think you right. What's with this file:

KB910393 it's only for Media Center Edition 2005, and don't see file Wmploc.dll in last hotfix.

As I wrote before there is no matter to worry about correct work of this hotfix (so as far as

it appliable to microsoft). In ryanvm pack really many hotfix, but only small part of them

has a link for public download, and i would like to see this hotfix in list:)

If ms public a link to "unstable" hotfix there is a really reason exist. I don't relate to

ms updater good, because this is only a program, possible with it's own bug's and I don't

want to entrust security to it. If you want, why do you not simple use it?

About 891122, where do you get the list of wmp 10 files? If wmp 10 contain all this file

why "applies to" section contain wmp 10? Are you check the file dates?

About 910393 again: the files it updates not included in winxpsp2, only media center (disk 2)

i got version 3955 after installing 907658.

and even KB910393 is for media center (which is also windows xp...), it also updates a file called wmploc.dll which is included in wmp10 for windows xp.
