Invision is the best.

I just wish though, that they did not have to make it completely paid. Now everybody (who can't afford to buy) will move away from it!

phpBB has the best community and the best price. Additionaly, the new phpBB 3 "Olympus" (beta due in March) is awesome

They couldn't protect themselves, and no redundancy has even been thought of by them.

There's this boy who while walking bashes himself straight into trees on the road. You'd give the keys to your car..... GREAT!!!!!!

Also, one more factor to consider is that while using a free board is easily done by anybody, purchasing the software your board uses goes a long way in re-assuring your members that you are for real (i.e., you won't suddenly fold up one day). It confirms the trust your members place in you, that you are concerned about protecting the time you took to make your posts.
