I use Videotron cable Internet (in the canadian province of Quebec).

The ISP advertised 3.1 megabits down and 180 kilobits up, but I often get around 4 megabits, sometimes 5 megabits down (probably because of some caching proxies). The upload just plain $uck$.

But, I have a bandwidth cap of 15 gigabyte of download and 5 gigabyte of upload every month. Extra 100 megabye is billed at 7.95 CDN dollars.

Not that bad though, for 45 CDN dollars per month.

Still on dialup (sigh).

anyone realized that on 768/128 verizon dsl

when U upload your dl speed slows as hell!!!

say i'm dl ing at max 96kb not uploading

and suddenly I upload a file or use a file sharing program to upload

my dl goes down to 10kb! ((
