Just going to use this registry setting for now! this is for WMP10 (you will need to change the red area for your own skin)

EDIT: Edited to the correct format that is supplied below by simonsays.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Skins]"CurrentSkin"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Media Player\\Skins\\Snow-black.wmz"

"SkinX"=dword:00000021

"SkinY"=dword:0000000c

Hope that helps someone...

I got this info from the WMP9 thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=10286&hl=

** Also check below for the method of including it into your .THEME file (best way)

I think it is to be placed here:

C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\Skins\

So therefore,

1. it is to be placed on the CD at:

$OEM$\$Progs\Windows Media Player\Skins\

2. Or, you can make an SFX archive to extract silently to "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Media Player\Skins\"

Does it work now? :)
