I've tried using the following switches

AdbeRdr602_distrib_enu.exe -p"-s /v\"/qn\""

but doesn't work as I still get the dialog box and I have to click on the buttons. :realmad:

Can any one tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Ryan: I looked (and tried yours), however I went with following your directions to make my own packaged administrative install using winrar

;The comment below contains SFX script commands

Setup=acrobatreader.msi /qb-!
TempMode
Silent=1

Visible progress bar, no cancel button

I use a modified MSI file as well to say the proper version number and have PrintMe completely removed from it along with some other cleanups. Also, 7-zip compresses better :P

EDIT: But yes, I'll probably switch to the /qb-! switch in the future.

EDIT2: Also, 7-zip's SFX module seems to be better behaved that WinRAR's. I've personally experienced (and others have posted about the same problem) times where WinRAR will delete the temp files prematurely or Windows setup will continue to the next program before the current one finishes (probably because the SFX EXE doesn't stay resident in memory while the called program runs). Of course, your milage may vary, but I've played with SFX archives for quite awhile :P

Hullo

I use AdbeRdr602_distrib_fra.exe, and tried the switches advised here and there (general topic about program switches, specific adobe topics), none worked :-/

Ones I tried :

-p"-s /v\"/qn\""

-p-s /v\"/qn\"\"" /f

/qb

/qb-

/qb-!

Some clues why I still got the dialog boxes and must click "next" each time ?
