Astalavista Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 hello all,Norton intenet security 2005 is out. will be getting the uprade from symantec.does anyone know if we will be able to silently install this baby?
big_gie Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Install it, yes, sure, no problem. But uninstall it, thats another question...
RyanVM Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Depends, did they remove activation from this year's version?
prathapml Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Installing it silently ought to be simple enough - I wouldn't expect that much has changed from 2004 series. Also, activation is simple too - mazin has a guide to do it for the 2004 series, the same one's gotta work for 2005 as well. (note that you can't bypass activation, you can only have it pre-activated if you are licensed)
Astalavista Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 no way... where is the link? i have been searching for a solution for so long.
mazin Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 @prathapmlFor those who are interested, my method of NAV is adapted for NIS by other guys here.
buletov Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 STart your Enginesbuhahahahahaha...c'mon, get serious... only thing you should start is taking Prozac to cool your nervs down with that symantec crap...
CoffeeFiend Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Title is "overhyped" but I don't see a reason to bash it even if NIS is the worst garbage I've ever seen. (even worse than NAV- and that's quite hard to beat!)
