EDITED BY [WINXPSP2_FAN]DUE TO SOME MISTAKES

NOW IT IS OK

Let me kindly explain to you[those who are do not know] the exact method to slipstream SAV 9.0 with the new patch called SAVCE_9.0.0.1400_AllWin_EN .msp:

1-on ur hd make a dir called for example c:\tempnav

2-in this c:\tempnav directory put all the files and foders of your

Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Client v9.0.0.338a
which are :
0x0409.ini

Data1.cab

instmsia.exe

instmsiw.exe

setup.exe

Setup.ini

Symantec AntiVirus.msi

vpremote.dat

VPREMOTE.exe

2-in this c:\tempnav directory put also :

SAVCE_9.0.0.1400_AllWin_EN .msp
3-press
start->run->

4-type C:\tempnav\setup.exe /a

WHEN ASKED ,CHOOSE THE LOCATION TO BE C:\tempnav\

WAIT A MINUTE UNTIL THIS admin point ends over.

4-press

start->run->cmd
5-change ur path to be inside c:\tempnav

5-type the following exactly:

msiexec /p "SAVCE_9.0.0.1400_AllWin_EN .msp" /a "Symantec AntiVirus.msi" /QB

wait a minute or so until all is complete.

6-DO DELETE the following:

0x0409.ini

Data1.cab

instmsia.exe

instmsiw.exe

setup.exe

Setup.ini

vpremote.dat

VPREMOTE.exe

6-DO DELETE
SAVCE_9.0.0.1400_AllWin_EN .msp

7-DO NOT DELETE Symantec AntiVirus.msi

8-get the latest virus definition update from symantec website

let it be for instance 20040808-019-x86.exe and right click it and extract it by WINRAR to the directory called

C:\tempnav\program files\Symantec AntiVirus\Virus Defs

overwriting any similar old files.

8-DO DELETE 20040808-019-x86.exe

9-Burn the folder called C:\tempnav as a root of a new cd usihg nero.

hope i was able to make it clear.

ps use Symantec AntiVirus.msi when u want to set up Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Client on ur pc ,that is u will not have

setup.exe
any more.

i did that with myself and it is ok 100 %.

comments are acceptable and appreciated.

enjoy.
